Looking for info on Wyllen family, spelling changed from Wiland or Wyland

Hello all.
My name is Sherry Youngs(Wyllen). My grandfathers name is David Richman Wyllen. From my understanding either my grandfather or great grandfather changed the spelling of the last name (reasons unknown). I know that my great grandfather's initials where T.N. Wyllen or Wiland or Wyland. I know that this is very confusing trust me I am still trying to make sense out of it. My g grandfathers wifes name was Katie Jane maiden name not sure what it is except that it starts with an S. I am hoping someone knows information on this.

I have recently discovered a few names that I was not aware of before and I am not sure if these names are related to me but not ever finding any names other than known immediately family that may help anyone connect to me. One name is Sarah E. Wyllen from or in CA on the 1920 Census report, Stuart Wyllen 1910 NY Census report, and Ms. J.S.Wyllen on the IL 1900 census report.
Any information anyone can give me or even a direction to move in would be much appreciated as I have been trying to figure this out for years.
