See: descendants of John Hampton, b: about 1537.
Had a son Renold b:-?, who fathered Robert Sr. b:-?, then Robert Jr. b-?((d 1664 in Santon, Isle of Man)), Robert III b: ealry 1630's(?1634?) d: Feb. 21 1685/86, One more Robert (IV) Hampton was born about 1655 in Ballaquiggin, Bradden, Ilse of Man and d:17?? The name Robert continued on but the Hampton name changed to Craine, Corris, Christian, Hampton, Clucas, Kennaugh, Callow, Clarke, Bridson, on and on.
Somewhere in the thirteenth generation a Herbert Wignall married Maud Isabella (Bidson) on 10 Oct. 1904 in Bootle, Lancashire, England. They had nine children
