Clarissa is what got me and a distant cousin started on the Wigley line. We have been trying for years to find the parents of Clarissa Farmer and have kept the thought that John and Amy Farmer with orphans James, 17, born in Al. and Clarissa, 10, born in Al. in Floyd County Georgia were the ones. A few weeks ago I ran across a John Farmer married to a Amy Richardson. Amy's father was Amos Richardson living in Elbert County Georgia. Then I found information about Joseph and Clarissa Wigley. Everything so far has been positive toward this connection but nothing concrete yet.
