I may be able to help you. My grandfather Frank Clark Wigginton was born in 1899, died in 1959. My father was Frank Jr., born in 1928 and died in 1998. My father said his great grandmother was married to a mayor in Denver,CO around 1850's. He said she was full blood Cherokee. The man was called or referred to as boy mayor because he looked so young. I dont have much between these 2 points but I think my dad said that my grandfather also had 3 brothers, I am not sure of the order from oldest to youngest, but I am still looking. Also have a name of John Wigginton who was a captain in war of 1812. Again, nothing yet from there to the 1850's where the Cherokee comes in. I apparently have a good portion of that Cherokee line in me as I cant grow a beard nor have any sideburns to worry about.
