The following is a verbatim copy of a copy of the Will of Johannis Wigginton, 1594, 50 Dixy. Somerset House, London, England. It was made on a trip to England by my gg uncle, James William Wigginton, b. 27 June, 1857, who died in California. He made a trip there and gathered a great deal of information.

(Verbatim.)In the name of god amen I John Wigginton citizen and merchanunttalor of London being sicke in bodye but of good and perfecte minde and memory praise to be god Doe make ordayne and declare this my presen Testament and last will in manner and forme following viz ffirst and principally I recommend my sowle to Almighty god my maker And to his sonne Jesus Christ my only savor and Redemer throughe the meritts of whode most precious Deathe and passion I hope to be saved and to have free and cleere remission of my sinnes and to have and enjoye the heavenly Kingdome prepared for the electe Children of god before the beginning of the worlde. And my Body to the earthe to be buryed within Christs Churche in which Pish. I am an inhabitant according to the disreacon of my Executrix herunder named.
Item I will that all suche debt as I of right doe owe at the time of my decea se be paide a ssoone after my departure out of this worlde as conveniently maybe. And after my debts paide and ffunerall discharge whiche I will be pformed without pompe or execessive expenses. I give will devise and dispose and beq ueathe all and singuler my goods Chattells Houses plate stuffs of household debts ymplements ready money and all othermy goods and necessary whatsovever as well moveable and unmoveable of what nature kynde quallitye or condicen whatsoever a they or any of them in manner and forme following vizI devide them into three severally parts according to the Custome of the Citie of London whereof the one parte I reserave to my selfe to be disposed according to my discreacons in suche sorte as is hereafter mencened. The second parte I give unto my owne children and the thirde parte I dow will and bequeath unto my Loving Wyfe whome I doe constitue and make my full and sole Executrix to see this my Last Will and Testament performedItem I give unto the poore people of the parishe of Christs Churche in London tenne shillings to be distributed amonge st them according to the discreacons of my Executrix and overseers hereafter named.And I doe make of this my Last will and testament my Loving friends and neighbors John Vycars minister Thomas Tooddisen Blacksmith Thomas Page Ironmonger a nd Edwarde Phil lippes Grocer Citizens of London supervisors and overseers of this my Last will and testament to see the same performed according to my trust reposed in them.And I give to every one of them ffive shillings The Rest and residue of all and singuler my goods herein Unbvequeathed a fter my debts paide and Legacies pe rformed I will be distributed and equall devided amongst my owne Children and my Brother, Matthewe over and above such bequests as are allotted unto them.In Witnesse whereof to every Leafe of this present testament and Last Will I have sett my hande and fixed my seale dated the twentith daye of maye in the six and thirteth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraign Ladye Queene Elizabeth-
