Interesting that the Wiggins may be Iranian, or perhaps Ashkenazi Jewish in descent. Haplogroup G is far east, very unusual to find it in the British Isles. Perhaps a Wiggin was Jewish and converted during the reign of Edward I to avoid being bannished from the country.

That test reveals your Y chromosome, which you inherit from your father. Nothing about any maternal lines.

I have an ancestor named Andrew Wiggin from NH.
