Congrats on your achievements of DAR marker!
Sounds like you have done a lot of work on the Hough family in Westmoreland. Here's my question for you:
I'm trying to tie in my John Hough as the son of Jacob and Charlotta. There isn't much written about their son John on any of the websites. Max Huff thinks he may belong with the Westmoreland gang!
My John Hough was b.abt 1765 in PA (taken from census), married unknown (maybe Elizabeth) abt. 1791, d.abt 1851 in Clayton twp., Perry Co., OH. Will states he had nine children, but doesn't name them. 1813 Purchased land in Muskingum Co., OH. By 1819 in Perry Co., OH tax records. Married 2nd Nancy Hickson (Hixson) 1825 in Perry Co. I believe that these are 3 of his children:
*Elizabeth b.abt 1793 in PA d.1883 in Perry Co., OH Married William Pettit
*Joseph b.abt 1800 in PA d.aft 1860 in Perry Co., OH Married Marie Amrine
*Sarah b.abt 1803 in PA d.26 Mar 1881 Hocking Co., OH Married Andrew Amrine.
I descend from Sarah Hough and Andrew Amrine. The Amrine (Amerine, Emerine) family was in Bedford Co., PA from 1754 until early 1800's. Three of the brothers moved to Belmont Co., OH / Ohio Co., WV area. 1806 tax records in Belmont Co.
shows 2 of them.
I found a message on the Hough board from Doloras Bergmark that a possible wife for John may be a daughter of Isaac Wigel.
Would you be able to comment on any of the above info?

By the way, most of my relatives lived in the Fulton Co./McDonough Co. IL area. Paternal GG Grandfather Andrew Jackson Amerine (Civil War Vet) is buried in Greenwood Cemetery along with his wife and 2 children.
