Hi Lynne!
This does sound very interesting as our Christian b. 1842 Prussia has a son named Charles and my husband's father is named John. I have Christian's parents, William b. 1808 in Preuss-Strohen (NW of Minden) and Christine Horstman. By the age of your Christian b. 1820, sounds like it could be a possible brother of Willliam. Our Christian was a baker by profession in St. Louis as well as a farmer in IL and in Pendelton, MO. for a few years. Do you know where your Christian was born in Prussia? If you'd like to see more on my Wiese family, here is the address to our family homepage:
Please let me know if you think we might have a possible match.
Leanne Wiese
