Hi Leanne,

Thanks for keeping me in mind. Don't think this would have been my Emil I'm looking for. I'm pretty sure he probably lived to be alittle older. My father seems to think he died sometime in the 50's. The name is pretty common for the Wieses I'm finding out and I think I've have found every one, but the right one! My grandfather (Emil's son), Alva was born around 1900 so I'm guessing Emil would have been at least 1880? I've searched death records, but never seem to find a match and I've tried the social security, but none of them seem quite right.
So now I'm down to searching family trees and emailing people like you just hoping a long shot might pay off. Maybe this summer I can squeeze in the time and just hope in my car and drive to Paris, IL to answer my questions. Our family is the only set of Wieses in this area and as I kid I thought we were pretty unique. I never imagined there were so many! Thanks again! Susan
