Hi Shelly!
Thank you too for responding. One of Christian's sons was William b.1871. I also know that there is a William listed as a property owner in 1892 Wheatfield, Clinton Co., IL. In the 1900 census, this William is listed as b. Feb. 1837, widower, b. Germany, arrived US 1864. The children in his household are William b.1874, Louisa b. 1877, Charles b. 1882, Amil b. 1884, Frederick b. 1887, Harry b. 1890. All children were b. IL. This has always been particularly interesting to me because Wheatfied is just one township away from Breeze in Clinton Co, where my Christian farmed. The 1900 census states Christian arrived US in 1851 and so this makes it seem as if these two might not be brothers as I'd originally suspected. Cousins perhaps? Christian also names a daughter Louisa and a son Charles and a son William, just like the William of Wheatfield. Do you have all the names of the Wieses in the IL cemetery? I'd sure like to know who they are and their birthdates.
Thanks a bunch.
Leanne Wiese
