My great grandmother, Nancy Adele Wiese, came to the U. S. about 1847-48. He father Carl J. Wiese came about the same time. We heard they had something to do with mines. I heard they called the area Bavaria, but it was not in what is called Bavaria now.
Any help would be appreciated.
