Schreib and Wiese families plus Joh. W

I have two Wiese siblings that married two Schreib siblings as follows:

Anna Marie Christine Wiese (born 1859) married
Otto August Friedrich Wilhelm Schreib (born 1858, Wilsnack, Prussia)
and her brother
Jürgen Wiese (born 1861 Neumünster, Germany) married Otto's sister
Hulda Friederike Louise Marie Schreib (born 1862, Wilsnack, Prussia)

In addition, a third Schreib sibling, my great grandfather Karl Schreib (born 1869, Wilsnack, Prussia) came through Ellis Island with a third Wiese:
On February 27, 1893 on the ship Moravia which sailed from Cuxhaven to New York

0015. Wiese, Joh. M 20y German Prussia
0016. Schreib, Carl M 23y German Prussia

They are together on the manifest suggesting that they were traveling together. I do not know what relationship there was between Joh. Wiese and Anna & Otto.

You can browse my Wiese data at

Anna Wiese and her husband Otto settled in the USA and I have found their descendents.

Jürgen and Hulda remained in Germany, their granddaughter is still alive in Flensburg, another grandchild fell on the Russian front in WWII and there are still a few other descendents left in Germany.

My great grandfather went from the USA to South Africa and that is where I was born. I then lived in Germany and now I too am in the USA.

I don't know what happened to Joh. Wiese...
