Carl J. Wiese-U.S-CA

Carl J. Wiese came to Sonoma County, CA about 1854. His daughter, Adele, and possibly two sons came a little before that.
His daughter married Thomas F. Baylis and they had three children. After the third child was born she was found floating in the Petaluma River. Adele made a sampler that had her name and the date 1847 that I have. It looks like English letters. They were on the east coast for a time I heard.
We always pronouced the name "Weesee"
Any ideas????
