Wiese Family in Philadelphia, PA

I descend from Harry Wiese, Son of Herman Wiese, my Grandfather. Harry was born in Philadelphia in 1927. Herman may have been born in the eastern U.S.. He married Magdelana (Anna), my Grandmother. Herman had brothers named William and Paul. I'm told, we were originally Von Wiese in Germany. Again, I'm told, the "Von" was sold when they came to America sometime in the 1800's. Does anyone recognize this story? If so, please let me know.

Yes very much. My Dad, Carl Henry still lives in Philly. His father was, Carl August. I don't know if he had any brothers but the Von Wiese story rings true.

Hank
