John Wier, Peter -son, John A. & Jane T. Pruitt -grandchildren

I have a copy of a deed from Pittsylvania Co., Va in which Peter Wier purchases land from John A. Pruitt & his wife Jane T. The deed states that this is land that the Pruitt's received from the estate of their deceased grandfather John Wier. The deed is in the year 1839. This is the time period in which it appears that Peter Wier was buying up the land in his father's estate from many of the heirs. The deed states that Peter Wier is living in Franklin Co., AL.

I would like to know if anyone knows how these Pruitt's are grand children of John Wier, ie. who were their parents? Were they cousins who married or does it just say "our grandfather" because they are married? Any clues would be appreciated.
