I've just started poking around for information on Michael Wheeland, Jr., as I am a descendant of his, and am putting together the information to join the S.A.R.
I think that I spotted a date error in your posting regarding Jacob Wheeland and Elizabeth Parks - I could be wrong of course, so please don't take offense!
You identified Jacob Wheeland as having died April 24, 1832, but I am pretty sure that is the date his father, Michael Wheeland, Jr. died. I saw a pension record on line somewhere where Jacob was petitioning the state of PA on April 30, 1832 for continuing Michael Jr.'s pension for Magdaline Wheeland (Michael Jr.'s wife, Jacob's mother). The date of death I saw at Ancestry.com for Jacob Wheeland was June 27, 1857.
Also, you identified Jacob's wife as having been born in Germany in 1753 in Germany and dying 3/17/1833, buried at German Reformed Cemetery, PA. Are you sure that is Jacob's wife? Jacob was born in 1795.
I hesitate in writing this note, because I am solely dependent upon the information I've found on the internet, and I'm no scholar on this. I hope like crazy that I haven't put inaccuracies down that will make someone question their work. So anybody who reads this - I have not ever looked at source documents for this. Just information available on ancestry websites, primarily ancestry.com.
One other question, is there any chance you have happened across the location of Michael Wheeland, Jr.'s gravesite??
Lastly, I want to thank you for sharing your genealogy information on line. I will end up relying on the work of a lot of other people as I put things together, and your willingness (everybody's willingness!) to share information that is hard to come by is GREATLY appreciated.
