Most of my info was researched by Marion V. Wieland Hirsch, so my time is spent trying to find documentation to support her info. According to her: my ancestor, Rudolph Wieland, arrived in the U.S. via New Orleans, from Gruesch, Grau Bunden, Switzerland. I have no ships' records, of yet. My great grandfather, George August Wieland, and his sister, Anna, were born in Dubuque, IA by Rudolph's 3rd wife Maria Truog. They had an older brother born inSwitzerland. Each of Rudolph's first two unknown wives had a son, Jacob and Joseph. They all migrated north to Grant Co., WI. I know you are working with Wielands from Germany, but maybe we might help each other out anyway. My info could be wrong as I have no documentation to back it up.
