Jeffrey, They are not the same I'm sorry to say. I've hit dead ends on all lines of my family. My Mathias Sauer came here from Germany as best I can tell with his wife Elizabeth and daughter Anna who married in 1857 to a Johann Leonard Dilling. They lived in either Cincinnati, Ohio or Newport, Kentucky. Thanks though.
