I have recently started trying to trace my mother's
Wieland line back to the German poet Christoph Martin Wieland who died early in the nineteenth century. The
family tradition is that we are descendants. I'm afraid that
I don't know whether he came from Ulm but I'm working on it?
Let me know if this - or the Wieland connection generally- is of any interest.
