my grand mother carolin wieczoreck came to new york from poland/germany in 1872.her and my grand father settled in holliday kansas.several of her siblings also came but settled on the east coast. My father said she had a younger brother named michael who stayed behind because he was concerned about losing his pension.he was drawing a disability pension from the army or government.my grand mother was born in 1839.she had a nephew edward wieczoreck
a caholic priest(father hyasine) who served in the Chicago area.regarding her younger brother,he might have came
later. My father joined the army at the age of 17 and
grew apart from the family.
