My family is from Houghton Michigan. My father is William Richard Wieber, one of 9 children. Grandpa Wieber was the Swift Meats distributor for many many years. Bishop Baraga celibrated mass in Great Great grandpas house.

According to my god father, one time Congressman Phil Ruppe, the Wieber family name are all related to a pair of brothers that came to America from somewhere in Germany or Austria or Luxemburg in the mid/early 1800s

My fathers mother was Ann Slattery IRRC.
