The Widrig family Dietenberger Bible is now on display at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana thanks to the Krebs family who dedicated it as a memorial to Joseph Elmer Krebs, Sr. and Mary RYAN Krebs on February 27th, 1988. The Bible was published at Cologne (COLN) in 1587 and has been in the Widrig family several hundred years, having been handed down in succession from eldest son to eldest son. As the frontispiece states,this was the first high class illustrated and annotated Bible published.
