Folks,

I'm looking for more information on Granville S. Bennett, son of Charles B. Bennett of West Chester, Chester County, Pa:

Descendants of Charles B. Bennett

Generation No. 1

1. CHARLES B.5 BENNETT (CHEYNEY S.4, SILAS3, WILLIAM2, JOHN1) was born Abt. 1833 in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He married MARY. She was born Abt. 1837 in Ireland.

Children of CHARLES BENNETT and MARY are:
       i.       ALICE6 BENNETT, b. Abt. 1864, Pennsylvania.
2.       ii.       GRANVILLE S. BENNETT, b. April 1866, West Chester, Pennsylvania.
iii.       JULIETT BENNETT, b. Abt. 1868, Pennsylvania.
iv.       CHARLES B. BENNETT, b. Abt. 1876, Pennsylvania.

Generation No. 2

2. GRANVILLE S.6 BENNETT (CHARLES B.5, CHEYNEY S.4, SILAS3, WILLIAM2, JOHN1) was born April 1866 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He married (1) SARAH W. WIDDICOMBE 1899 in Pennsylvania, daughter of WIDDICOMBE and LYDIA A.. She was born April 1869 in Pennsylvania.

Granville was living in West Goshen Township, County of Chester, State of Penna, on 4th day of August, 1870. By June 10th, 1900 he was newly married, living with his wife and her mother in the Borough of West Chester- 6th Precinct, Chester County, and working as a letter carrier.

By January 12th, 1920 he had changes professions and was working as an Attendant at the State Hospital for the Insane for S. E. Dist of Penna., in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pa.

I haven't researched him through the 1930 Federal Census and have no idea when he passed away.

He and his wife appear to have had no children. His wife Sarah, was living in Philadelphia with her sister Anna E. (Widdicombe) Jones, wife of Galusha P. Jones in both the 1910 and 1920 censuses.

Any information you can give me about Granville and his family would be deeply appreciated. In particular I'm looking for a photograph of Granville.

Hoping to hear from you.

All my best,

Chris Wynkoop
