Wickline/Sturgill/Lowderback OH
Struggling to find any trace of Lowderback ancestors. They come into the Wickline line in Lawrence Co. Ohio on two sides.
Elihue Sturgill's (1825-1897) daughter Addie Jane Sturgill (1878-1912) married Levi Wickline. Addie Jane's mother was Sarah Lowderback (this recently learned from Sturgill primary source).
Elihue's first wife (unknown) had several children born in Illinois, but who returned with him to Ohio after her death. One of these was Mary Ellen Sturgill (b.1854). She married a Perry or Anderson or Perry Anderson Lowderback, likely a relative of her stepmother. One of their children was Rachel Elizabeth Lowderback (though her descendants have spelled it "Louderback") who married Levi's brother Thomas.
Thomas and Rachel Wickline moved to southeastern West Virginia around 1910 and lived variably in Wyoming, Raleigh or other counties. Their daughter Mary Ellen Wickline is obviously named for Mary Ellen Sturgill. Mary E. Wickline married Grant U. Taylor and is my grandmother.
Any help with these Wickline relatives appreciated (I have the Wickline part of the line down pretty well, it's the rest that's up for grabs.)
