FRANCIS WYCLIFFE, THOMAS WYCLIFFE
I have run into a problem with Francis Wycliffe. The info. that I have says that he was a prisoner of York Castle where he died May 24, 1610.His will dated April 12, 1610 is on record in York registry vol. 31, folio 382.I was wondering if anyone had seen his will or has gotten a copy of it.
I also have a problem with the father of David Wickliffe. My info. leads me to his father being Thomas according to G. Wickliffe Throckmorton. His reasoning is thus:His reasons are that both Robert Evelyn and Thomas Wycliffe married into the Yonge family and that the associations of David Wickliffe with the Evelyns indicate a relationship. In addition, this is the only pedigree of Wickliffe where the I is used instead of the Y.
Does anyone have any stronger proof of his parentage?
