I am Mary Elizabeth Ruehlen Lindig. My greatgrandmother was Mary Elizabeth Wickizer Boucher. She lived in Kansas, and Louisiana having moved west from Binghamton, NY. Her mother was Rhoda Burt of Binghamton, and her father was Loren Burtis Wickizer. It appears, although I do not have documentation past John B. Wickizer, #11108, that we are also descended from Conrad and Rosina Wickizer. We are from Isaac. I do not know the name of Isaac's wife, but I do have a birth date of 1782. Genealogical research has taken me back to Johann Andreas Wickizer (1725) of Baden Wurtengurg, Germany.
If all this is true, it nullifies a family tale of our ancestor being a Hessian soldier.
John B. Wickizer married Louisa Phillips daughter of Hosea Phillips of Willkes Barre. Much of our history on this side also washed down the Susquehanna River...but we do have some publications from the archives. It just never occurred to pursue those same archives for information about the Wickizers. That is next on my list of to do's.
I do know that there is a Wickizer family cemetery and that either Isaac or John B. has a baby buried there.
