Relationships of Wickes' lines?

Brad,
If my research is accurate, the Wickes/Weekes line in Maryland was started with Joseph Weekes who migrated to Kent Island in 1650. He was labeled Wickes as well as Weekes.I am fairly certain, 99%, that Joseph Weekes came from from the Isle of Wight region of VA.At the abt. the same time that Joseph migrated to MD along with the Hynson/Hinson family as well as the Ringgold family, a Walter Weekes who was one of the original inhabitants of Kent Island, 1632, left MD and went to Northumberland Co., VA, probably because Walter as catholic and Joseph was protestant I am guessing.
Abraham Weekes who was well known in Middlesex Co., Va was also in the IofW area of VA in the late 1640's.I am guessing that Joseph and Abraham were related in some manner. In addition there was a Robert Wicks/Weekes who signed the wills of some famous persons in Chowan Co., NC in 1721 and 1727.This Robert passed abt. 1739.How he is related to others, I don't know, but it seems that depending on the document and where these families lived, the names could be spelled differently.
