Klaus, Thanks for your offer to help and your words of encouragement. My husband is a descendant of Heinrich Herman Weichman (Wichman). The spelling was changed sometime after entering the US between 1876-1880.
Henry appears in Yolo CO. CA census in 1880. He married Agnes Scott in Belfast Ireland in 31 July 1876. His declaration of Intent for Citizenship is dated April 1879 and his citizenship papers are dated May 6, 1881. Henry was born 14 March 1853 in Germany and died in Stockton, San Joaquin Co., CA 7 March 1897. We have no knowledge of siblings or parentage. Any guidance or help you can provide is truly appreciated.
