Hi Clif

I have just found your entry of 17 December 2001 on the Genforum site. I have been studying the names Wiard and Wyard for seventeen years. I believe I am related to the Robert Wyard who left England for America in about 1640. He settled in Boston and I know of over 2000 of his descendants and collaterals. The name was soon changed to Wiard. Most of the data I have came from books published many years ago so I have little up-to-date information on the Wiard family. The first record I have in Kentucky is that of the marriage of William Lapierce Wiard, a salesman, to Lavinia Blackburn Brawner in Frankfort on 20 January 1859. I have lots of information about their family and how it grew. I think, if you are interested in taking this further, the best way forward would be for you to tell me what you know about the oldest people in your family and for me to pass on information about William and Lavinia’s family. I hope to hear from you
