Alexander Smith was just a friend of our Smith line, they also, out of N.Y. and as I've related to you previously, our Smith's claimed he, Alexander was no relation, nor was Jane Smith. Jennie Smith Bailey was b. Amio, Wis. 1846. Don't know when she d. but she was in the Eastern Star with her membership being in Tomah, Wis. tho! she moved to N.Dakota. She was buried at Manning in Dunn Co., N.D. She had a son surviving her Dr. S. W. Bailey. She also, had been a member of the Congregational Church. That's all I can tell you, I have no more info. at my fingertips. From our two different Smith lines come the surnames of maternally Sage and paternally Foote if that helps at all. Good luck on your searches.
