Friday, March 14, 1873
In this village, at the residence of his mother, Mrs. S. Henderson, on the morning of Thursday, March 6th, 1873, Mr. Henry Henderson, aged 51 years, 6 months.
Mr. Henderson came to Omro eighteen years ago, following his occupation here as blacksmith, until six years ago, since when he removed to Cedar Co., Iowa. He afterward made his home in Delaware Co., in that State. He had been an invalid for eight years past, and came to this place last November for the purpose of resting and recruiting his health. For a time he was greatly encouraged with the prospect of recovery, but with all the kind attentions of a loving mother and friends, he has gone to the rest of the grave, trusting, we hope, in Jesus as the resurrection and the life. He leaves a wife and five children, his mother, and one brother to mourn his loss.
The funeral services were largely attended at the Presbyterian church, on Sunday, the 9th inst. at two o’clock p.m.
