He Had Been a Prominent Resident of This Part of the State for Years--Neenah News.

Neenah, Wis, July 23.--Calvin Jones, one of the leading farmers in the town of West Menasha, was buried at Oak Hill cemetery Friday afternoon. Mr. Jones was well known in this vicinity having been a resident of this state fifty-three out of his eighty-seven years. He was born at Pembroke, Genesee county, Aughts 12, 1818. The family came west as far as Ohio when Calvin was eleven years of age and until 1852 resided in that state. Mr. Jones in that year came to Fond du Lac county taking up his residence at the town of Eden. Eight years ago he moved his late residence near this city. A wife and seven children survive, these being: Steven Jones of Neenah, Mrs. Carrie Geraughty of Oshkosh, Mrs. Celia Blake of Fond du Lac, Fred Jones of Waupaca, William Jones of Minneapolis, Miss Frances Jones of Michigan and Albert Jones of West Menasha. The funeral was largely attended, all the near relatives from the various parts of the country being present. Albert Jones will continue in charge of the farm in West Menasha.

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Calvin Jones were held at the home of Albert Jones at 2'clock this afternoon. Rev. J.L. Marquis officiated.
