My husband was Ken Rothe, son of Arthur Rothe. His Grandmother was "Atty" Crain Sensenbrenner and is buried in the same burial plat with my husband at Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh. Many years ago we received some Crain Family History which started with John Crain and his wife "Atty" McDonough Crain. She brought the ten children to Boston in 1848 after he died and ran a boarding house there. In 1855 she and some of the children emigrated to Wisconsin. This history was by a Gertrude Bradley from Michigan. If you give me your address, I will send you a copy of this information.
There are a few errors on the Rothe's. Arthur Jr's daughter Mary Kay, is just Kay and Janette is Janet.
My husband's main occupation was as an accountant, the Real Estate business was a side-line. Ralph is still alive at 82 and is living in Oshkosh now. He was a music teacher in Appleton and lived there for many years. I'm sure I could give you more information on us if you would wish.
Someone who is doing the history of the Highholders of Oshkosh passed along your posting yesterday and I was quite surprised.
