Menasha has not had a separate daily paper for about 50 years. It is half way between Appleton and Oshkosh, bot of which are considerably larger. Each has a paper which may carry an obit. At such a recent date, the obits will be identical (which would not have been true in the late 1800s). Neither is online with anything more that a couple of weeks of major stories. However, most public libraries in Wi are good about making prints of obits, as is the Wisconsin Historical Society (nice for small town weeklies when the local library is open 20 hours a week and has no film reader). The library in Menasha is named for a nineteenth century benefactor: Elisha D. Smith Public Library, 440 First Street, Menasha WI 54952.
