I am the fifth generation from the arrival of august porath to the US. My records show He arrived in baltimore, MD from Germany in 1883. His wife's name was Ehefrau Albertine HECHT. Their children were listed as 1. Frederick Willhelm 1872-1963( My great grandfather)2. bertha, 3. Mary, 4. Amelia. This family has resided in Nebraska, Minnisota,Wisconsin,Michigan, South Dakota and Idaho. I am not clear if this family ties into the family you are researching. Maybe we can find a clearer tie.
