I'm looking for information on Sanford James Straw and his family.
Sanford James Straw, son of Rufus Buswell and Sarah Gave/Gove Straw, was born in 1847 in Hopkinton, Hillsborough County, NY and died 21 May 1934 in Wild Rose, WI, age 86. He was a farmer.
Sanford, or S.J. as he was called, married Alida "Lida" Jennings in 1871 in Wautoma, Waushara Co., WI. They were parents of 6 children:
Rufus Collin Straw, b. circa 1872 in Wautoma. He went away to school in Kansas City and I can't anything further about him.
Nita Straw, b. 1875 in Oasis, Waushara Co., WI. Nita married Charles Castle in 1894 in Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., MI. They lived for a short time in South Haven, MI. She died of consumption in 1897 in Oasis. I don't think they had children.
Nina Straw, b. 1876 in Wautoma. Nina married Fred Dudley circa 1910. They lived in Deerfield, Wisconsin. They were parents of 7 children: Hazel Dudley, Robert Dudley, Mary Dudley, Lemuel Dudley, Floyd Dudley, Carl Dudley and Archie Dudley.
Archie Straw, b. 1878 in Waushara Co., WI. I don't have anything further on him.
Walter F. Straw, b. 1880 in Oasis, WI. Walter married Laura Estella Murphy in 1906 in Berrien Springs, MI. They were parents of at least 5 children: Sylvia Straw, Leland Straw, Unknown Straw, Ronald Straw and Uknown Straw. Walter died in 1962 in Ellijay, GA and was buried in Beardon, TN.
Pearl M. Straw, b. circa 1881. Pearl married Homer E. Abbott circa 1910. They were parents of 6 children: Milton "Bud" Abbott, Vila Abbott Abbott, Floyd Abbott, Leland Abbott, Robert Abbott and Eugene Abbott.
