From the transcribed 1880 Federal Census:
Census Place: Marion, Waushara, Wisconsin
Source: FHL Film 1255452National Archives Film T9-1452Page 314A
Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace
George ROBERTS Self M M W 44 ME
Occ: Farmer Fa: ME Mo: CAN
Medora ROBERTS Wife F M W 43 NY
Occ: Keeping House Fa: NY Mo: NY
Henry FIELDS SSon M S W 15 WI
Occ: Laborer Fa: ENG Mo: NY
Rena FIELDS SDau F S W 6 WI
Fa: ENG Mo: NY
Rena was born about 1873-74, meaning (hopefully) that Daniel was still alive to at least 1872-73.Have you looked for a death certificate or obituary for him?The Guyant Waushara County cemetery surveys (available on microfilm at the Waupaca Public Library, probably elsewhere, too) may have a burial place for Daniel and for the English neighbors.
Do you know where Adaline and Edward were born, and when?(There's an unusual 9-year gap between Henry and Rena.)
Medora was born in NY--possibly met up with Daniel there? She may show up in the every-name 1850 Census in NY--might give some idea of location there.Might even find Daniel there.
Do you have Daniel in the 1870 Census?Have you checked for naturalization records?Probate records?Land records?
Have you checked with the LDS folks and their English records?
Good luck!!
