LeRoy,

I found the following for you:

1850 census, Wisconsin, Waukesha, Mukwonago

Hart, John 39 Farmer England
Isaac 15 England
John 12 England
Elizabeth 11 England
James 9 England
Ed 7 England
Thomas 4 England
Mary 3 England

There is a Mary Hart 32 England, living two houses over with the Thomas Bremmer family. Not sure that this is YOUR Mary however, by her age in the 1860 census, it would support that.

1860 census, Wisconsin, Waushara, Rose
Hart, John 22 England Laborer
Mary 18 Vermont

1860 census, Wisconsin, Winnebago, Vinland
Hart, John 49 Farmer England
Mary 43 England
Isaac 21 England
Edward 17 England
Thomas 14 England
Mary 12 England
Martha 9 Wisconsin
Allen 4 Wisconsin
Emilie 2 Wisconsin

As you can see, James is nowhere to be found around the family! Using various search strategies turned up nothing, even in subsequent census'. Do you have any other information on this elusive James? Did he marry and have children? Do you know whether he went by his middle name? If so, I might be able to locate him using that information.

Sorry I wasn't more helpful.

Donna
