The Farmers' and Land Owners' Directory - 1890-91 shows:
Kells Henry, sec 9 Vernon 1/2 a, sec 12-13 Mukwonago 143 a, p o Vernon.

Also listed, William Kells in Templeton and George Kells in Waukesha

Cemeteries in the Vernon area include:
Rural Home
Vernon Center
Vernon Ev. Lutheran
Vernon Reformed Presbyterian
Vernon United
Waukesha County Poor House (burials moved to Northview in Pewaukee Twp.)
and in Mukwonago, Oak Hill.
