Just would like to add to Nan's response that Menomonee Falls existed informally as early as the 1840's, but the official incorporation was 1892. As I recall, the last of the township of Menomonee was incorporated by the village in the early 1960s.

If the legal description is something like "the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of section 4", if you post it, I should be able to help you to determine the location.
