WILLIAM CAMPBELL 1853 Waukesha Co.

In the Campbell Forum, message #2463, Andy McNair refers to a WILLIAM CAMPBELL born in Orange County, NY in 1790 & died in Waukesha Co., WI in 1853. William married BETSY MUDGE. Among their six children were CHARLOTTE, WILLIAM, & HENRY. My great-grandmother CHARLOTTE CAMPBELL and my GGF Samuel Watts were married in Butler County, OH in 1838. We do not know who GGM Charlotte's parents or siblings were, but we do know she was born in NY in 1822. She and Samuel had only one son. They named him WILLIAM Parker. Neither Samuel's father nor any of his brothers was named William. Samuel and Charlotte named either their first or their second daughter ELIZABETH. Again, neither Samuel's mother nor his only sister was named Elizabeth. Another fact, which may be relevant, is that my father's name was HENRY and we do not know whom he was named for. I think there are enough congruences here to make it probable that the family from Orange County, NY was my great-grandmother's family. I would like to hear from anybody who could tell me if the Orange County family lived in Butler County, OH about 1835 to 1845.
