My great great grandparents were Rosalie Plenzke (Sept 29, 1842 - June 24, 1915) and Louis (Ludwig) Bertram (Dec 16, 1838 - Dec 12, 1916). I believe they were married in Washington CO sometime before the Civil War and among their children was a daughter Henrietta. I believe Louis was born in Hanover, Germany. I don't know where Rosalie was born. Louis served in the Civil War in the 45 Wisconsin Infantry, Co. B, that mustered out of Farmington in 1864. Sometime after the Civil War the family moved to South Dakota, south of Mitchell. They are buried at the Lutheran Church in Dimock. Henrietta married August Neugebauer of Dimock and raised a large family.
