Death of George Wakeford
Posted by: Terry Lankford (ID *****4604) Date: June 20, 2012 at 19:21:56

I'm looking for information regarding the violent death of one George Wakeford. I have a newspaper article from the Janesville Daily Gazette dtd June 9, 1910 indicating he was run over by a train and died of his injuries. The article indicated he had been living and working on a farm between Delavan and Darien. His body was shipped to Delavan for interment. I would like an obituary or other information to confirm if/how this George Wakeford is connected to my line of Wakeford's from NY, WI and MI. Anyone out there have any connections or information that could shed some light on this situation? Hope so.

Thanks,
Therese Wakeford Lankford
