HARRIETT Garland is my GG-Grandmother. I've seen message boards that state she died in 1903 but have not been able to find proof of this. I have not been able to find her after the 1900 census - however I can find Levi Hayward and their two daughters living in North Dakota. I have also been able to find the birth records of Louetta and Goldie who were both born in South Dakota. What I find interesting about this is on the 2nd daughter it lists the mothers name as Harriett Johnson in place of Harriett Garland. If you look up census records using the name of Harriett Johnson living in North Dakota one comes up living in a mental hospital. Could this possibly be the same Harriett? Does anyone have any information on this or any proof that Harriet did actually pass away in 1903? Any help would greatly be appreciated! Please feel free to e-mail me directly.
