I have done some research on the Amos Ives family of Walworth Co., WI. Briefly, he was one of eight children born to Riley H. Ives and Electra MANN. He was born 5 Dec 1823 in Java Lake, NY and came west to Wisconsin Territory in 1843 and took up residence in Darien Township. He went back East in 1848 and married Susan Parish in Wyoming Co., NY. In 1851 he returned to WI and settled again in Darien Township. He had three children from his 1st marriage: Leaman J., Augusta L., and Clinton. Susan died 6 Dec 1853. Amos remarried to Lydia C.H. Tift and they had four children: Clinton Parish, Leaman Joseph, John W., and Amos Riley. More info available. Would like to add to this family info.
