I am looking for info on John and Mary J. Wangerin who show up on the 1880 census for Scott, Scheboygan County. I have a picture of a Mary Wangerin and on the back it says "Dad's sister" in my grandmother's handwriting. My grandmother was Libbie Mae Mitchell, her father was Peter G. Mitchell os Raymond, Racine County,WI. Peter was born in 1859 in Prussia and came to the USA in about 1868 with his father and 5 siblings. One of the siblings was a girl named Catharina born in 1850. Three of the girls were listed as Catharina on the permission to immigrate..unfortunately I have been unable to find any members of this family, except my ggrandfather, after they arrived in the USA. Permission to immigrate said they were going to Chicago.
