Mrs. Ragndie Ostby, 92
Monday, April 3, 1944
Mrs. Ragndie Ostby, a resident of Shawano county since 1873 and of the Homme Home for the Aged since in December, 1930, passed away at the Home on Monday following a stroke.
Funeral services are being held at Our Savior's Lutheran church in the town of Lessor this afternoon. The Rev. H. M. Mason, manager of the institution, is officiating. A number from the Home are in attendance at the funeral. Interment takes place in the church cemetery.
Ragndie Ostby was born in Norway on March 17, 1852, and came to this country on June 6, 1871, and to Lessor, in this county, in 1873. She was married on March 5, 1873, to Bersvend Ostby, who has been dead for many years.
Survivors are her children; Minnie, (Mrs. Hermann Meisner), Lessor; Mrs. Randy Brecken, Comstock, Neb., Mrs. Borley Peterson, Lesor, and Pauline (Mrs. Thore Peterson), Seattle, also 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
