Hi, Caren, I may have answered this in the past under a different listing, but I can tell you exactly where Flambeau, WI is (was). If you look at a map of Wisconsin, there was once a town named Flambeau located appoximately where the Flambeau and Chippewa Rivers meet. My dad grew up there, and when he was a child used to find old pennies and coins from the post office, which had burned. The Catholic church/cemetery (St. Francis of Assisi) was part of this community.

Also - am willing to check headstones from this cemetery - I am a Gourdoux, many of the names you are researching are familiar to me.
