I am seeking any descendants of Simon Marston and Polly Porter Love who was a civil war widow with three children when she married Simon, and it is said he raised them as his own along with the six children born to this union.
I have seen family trees online who cite Irene Dresser Sommers of Clinton as a source for information regarding this family.
I would love to contact this lady, or anyone else with knowledge of this line.
Our tie is through the Love marriage, but we have several old family photos that are not identified, and we suspect some of those might be Polly and her children....and perhaps Simon and some of the Marston children.
They were:
Carrie (Floy) b. 1879 who married Edwin Bumstead
Chauncey Roy b. 1879, Floy's twin.
Letitia Adelaid b. 1875 who married Charles M. Dresser
Merton b. 1867
Webster Porter b. 1871
Albert b. 1886? who married Lura Smith
The towns most mentioned were Clinton,Turtle, and Beloit.
