This includes Caleb Blodgett, plus nine of the 14 original New England Emigrating Co. members: Dr. George W. Bicknell, John W. Bicknell, Otis Bicknell, Samuel Colley, Robert Crane, Alfred Field, Horace Hobart, Asahel Howe and Horace White.
Other surnames from Beloit’s earliest years that are found therein include: Bemis, Chapin, Cheney, Dearborn, Fisher, Goodhue, Hackett, Hinman, Johnston, Moore, Noyes, Perkins, Rosenkrans and Tucker.
